The Dwarf Treelephant

Elephant hanging off a branch holding on with his trunk pencil drawing

dwarf-treelephant_andrew-tong-art_webThe Dwarf Treelephant is quite small, about the size of a Fuzglob. He spends his days hanging from random trees. But the strange thing is that no-one has ever seen one climb up or for that matter climb down from a tree. He just hangs from a branch with his little trunk.

We think they wait until no-one is looking before going up and down the tree. Or there is another elephant helping them up and down when no-one is looking. Who is to know..

A new home

Island Creatures_doodles_Andrew Tong ArtWelcome! If you enjoy the silly things in life, you have come to the right place. A few months ago I started to focus on creating artwork specifically for this new website. I intended to draw a few simpler images, however, that never happened. Instead, I found myself drawing ever more details. Mind you, this is not the first time I experience my drawing process that way.

Every piece of artwork seems to evolve around my main character. Little insects, plants, rocks sprout from my pen. And whenever I set out to draw something simple, my mind seems to laugh at my endeavours … creating the exact opposite.

My pictures want to be discovered, one curiosity & fantastical at a time.
